Ribbon Cutting

3-2-1! The shop is open! Woo Hoo and the crowd goes wild!

Well there would be a wild crowd if the shop was in person, but since the Rachelle Eason Shop is online, I am just going to visualize there’s a crowd!

The picture above is from the 2012 Ribbon Cutting of my second location for my retail pottery studio in North Carolina. Those were the days of a big red ribbon held across the front of the store and a gigantic pair of scissors to cut it away.

These days my ribbon cutting is low key, with a glass of wine, and the ribbon is purple!

I am even more thrilled to launch this time than I was then. It’s a huge step! Moving my business to entirely online is a scary venture. A physical location not only gave me a tangible place to present my art as well as place for others to create, but it gave me an opportunity to engage, in person, with anyone who walked through the door.

After a couple of decades of presenting at art shows and a few years of showing at Walt Disney World, I decided that I needed a few changes in my personal and professional life. Well, actually, that I needed a personal life again and that my professional life got way out of control. My husband and I he-hawed around deciding to go fully online for about a year before we finally decided to commit and go for it.

So, here I am, here we are (because it takes a village), going for it.

The ribbon is cut! The virtual doors are open! Come in and browse. Peruse the site, read some blogs, shop a bit. Leave a comment below and let’s connect through conversation. This is me, putting myself out in the universe for a brand new chapter in this book of my artsy adventure. Thank you for your support.

I am looking forward to sharing the journey with you!

For some fun, here’s a 9 second slide show of the actual ribbon cutting. There is no audio attached so feel free to cheer out loud!
