Beth Bollinger
Episode 2 Guest
Beth Bollinger introduces herself...
I am a healthy recipe developer, content creator and food photographer with a background both in Healthcare and Design. I have a design degree and originally worked in fashion design for companies like Levi Strauss and FILA.
I have four kids and when they were young I did floral design for weddings and events. One of my daughters was born with some health issues and that spurred me to study Integrative Health and to experiment with the effects of diet on wellness.
My husband is a surgeon and I managed his practice for 6 years and saw firsthand the effects of diet and lifestyle on health outcomes. I began to develop and share recipes on my website www.nest-wellness.com for his patients. We sold his practice 3 months before the pandemic and that gave me the time and space to devote my attentions to my website and to my instagram.
I realized that my food needed to look appetizing for people to be inspired to eat healthier and to try my recipes so I learned food photography during lockdown. We had our children home during the pandemic and most days I was cooking for 7 people, 3 meals a day. This gave me a lot to photograph and a lot of time to experiment.
Most recently, I have had the opportunity to work for Levels Health as their recipe creator. I now wear a continuous glucose monitor to be sure that all the recipes I create elicit a level glucose response.
