Rachelle has spent over a decade perfecting her plant-stained art and mastering the process. This unique paper collection of her colorful and textured eco-printed designs is created through plant staining achieved by boiling. She has discovered the nuances that can influence the end result, such as the species of plant, the region it was harvested from, and during which season it was harvested.
These journals are for writing.
They're for writing your deepest thoughts, your secrets, your meditative responses to things.
They’re for writing your intuition. They’re for recording life events.
They’re for writing down blessings and gratitude and keeping notes of things that you want to always remember and for just replying to those questions that nag at you in your head from day to day, and it's for you to work out things.
More extraordinary than any other journal, any other diary... and it comes with its own inclusive inspiration.
It comes with its own kind of magical powers…the essence of nature, that inspire you to write, to release to Sub-headlineearth; to do all those things.

Can I write in Plant-Stained Paper Journals?
Yes! You can write, draw, and paint on the pages that are plant-stained and the pages that are hand-dyed. Pencils, pens, watercolors, gouache, acrylics, inks, etc, all work well!
Do the plant stains fade?
The stains are created through a boiling method using a mordant to preserve the colors on acid-free archival ragcloth paper. They are heirloom quality, may age naturally, and will last indefinitely, However, if exposed to the sun for an extended period of time, the stains will fade.
Do you use plants from your own yard?
Sometimes, but mostly I use plant elements that have served their purpose beautifying a space and heading toward their demise. My resources include the nurseries and greenhouses at Walt Disney World, nurseries serving local city and commercial landscapes, local florists, and local churches.
The art of Rachelle Eason is an invitation to explore the wonders of nature. Her creations are a kaleidoscope of color and texture that will enhance your appreciation of the natural world. We and our guests enjoy the work of Rachelle in our home.

The first time I saw a Rachelle Eason plant-stained journal I was moved in a way that I can't explain. Their beauty touched me like no other art has. Since my first encounter with them I have purchased at least a dozen, and plan on purchasing many more. Every time I can't decide what to give someone as a gift and I want to make it extra special, I give a Rachelle Eason plant-stained journal. It's the perfect, hand-made gift of art. One of my friends burst into tears at the beauty of her journal.
